Harry E. and Olive T. Barth Charitable Trust to Accept Grant Applications
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley will soon accept grant applications through an opportunity made possible by the Harry E. and Olive T. Barth Charitable Trust. The 2017 grant cycle will open August 14.
The Barth Charitable Trust, administered by Wesbanco Bank, Inc., seeks to make annual grants for use by non-profit organizations in West Virginia with preference, though not exclusively, to those organizations from the City of Sistersville, West Virginia and Tyler County, West Virginia areas that seek program support within stated policies and procedures guidelines. Civic and governmental entities may also be considered.
There is no specific funding priority and the minimum grant request is recommended to be $5,000.
2016 marked the inaugural Barth Charitable Trust grant cycle, which resulted in $131,757 in distributions for 13 projects in the Sistersville and Tyler County areas.
Applications will be reviewed by an Advisory Committee, comprised of community stakeholders and trust advisors.
The Barth Charitable Trust grant cycle opens August 14 and will close September 22.
