FACTS Impact Fund
FACTS was established in 2019 by a group of thoughtful and generous community members with a desire to address challenges of the greater Wheeling area through philanthropy. A series of learning journeys identified an interest in supporting projects that help individuals experiencing barriers to employment.
Together with our partner organizations, we seek to overcome systemic issues and empower people to transform their lives and contribute to their communities. In general terms, FACTS seeks to support organizations helping those in need overcome challenges, learn new skills, gain confidence and make connections.
Members of FACTS have chosen to learn as much as they can through this philanthropic process, requiring time, thought and attention. Therefore, this process will take several months to complete. Applicants should plan for this when considering to pursue the opportunity.
Letter of Intent opens – March 15, 2022
Letter of Intent deadline – May 13, 2022
Invitation to full application – September 15, 2022
Full application deadline – October 17, 2022
Award notifications -early November 2022
Project completion – November 2023
In addition to the information provided above, this funding opportunity intends to support one or more organization’s efforts to influence systemic issues to positively impact as many people as possible. The membership has a special interest in supporting collaborative projects that reduce or eliminate redundancy among non-profits.
Criteria to Apply:
All applicant organizations must be located in or serving the greater Wheeling area (defined as Ohio, Marshall, Brooke and Belmont counties) and, as with any CFOV grantee, be a 501(c)(3) organization or other qualified entity in good standing with the IRS at the time of application.
