Community Impact Grants Awarded

The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) announced its most recent Community Impact grant awards.

This year, 10 organizations have been awarded grants totaling $62,200.  The Community Impact Fund provides funding to enhance communities and improve the quality of life in the Foundation’s eight-county service area.

The grants made possible through the Community Impact Fund represent the important work being done by organizations across the Ohio Valley.  Each project receiving funding seeks to improve outcomes – whether it be inspiring youth, supporting those in recovery or positioning families and communities for new success.

“CFOV is committed to addressing the ongoing effects related to the substance use epidemic, the mentorship and development of youth and supporting economic/workforce potential.  Support from the Community Impact Fund is allowing critical work and learning to happen,” shared Susie Nelson, executive director of CFOV.

The Community Impact Fund is comprised of several unrestricted funds of the Community Foundation and others with a designated field of interest.

“The donors who made these funds possible felt strongly about leaving a legacy through philanthropy and we remain grateful for their generosity and foresight,” Nelson said.
