Chevron Community Fund to Accept Applications
Chevron and the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) are currently accepting applications for grants for the Chevron Community Fund, a strategic grantmaking program funded by Chevron and administered by CFOV.
The Chevron Community Fund was created by Chevron to direct philanthropic resources to the needs of the communities where the company conducts business. Nonprofit organizations in or serving Marshall County, WV may apply. Funding is focused on, but not limited to the following areas: basic human needs, STEM education and workforce development. Requests of up to $10,000 may be considered.
Susie Nelson, executive director of CFOV, is grateful for the Chevron partnership and encourages eligible organizations to apply for support.
“Chevron has shown their commitment to Marshall County by providing much-needed funds to support many different nonprofit organizations and projects over the last several years through this partnership. The variety of programs funded by Chevron touches many Marshall County residents and their impact is significant,” Nelson said.
The grant period will open March 12 and will conclude April 20. The Chevron Community Fund uses an online application that is available on the CFOV website, www.cfov.org. Grantees are reminded they must wait twelve months between awards before again seeking funds. This allows for diversity in funding. Applications will be vetted by CFOV prior to being forwarded to Chevron for their grant recommendations.
