CFOV Awards Community Impact Grants
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) announced its Community Impact grant awards for 2019.
This year, 16 organizations have been awarded grants totaling $80,720. The Community Impact Fund continues to enhance Ohio Valley communities and improve the quality of life through assisting local arts programs, supporting youth development, strengthening health/wellness and social support services, supporting economic development programs and educational initiatives in the Foundation’s eight-county service area.
“The grants made possible through the Community Impact Fund tie to projects that will benefit all corners of the Ohio Valley. These grantee organizations are dedicated to making a difference through the projects and initiatives being recognized and CFOV is proud to be part of that process,” shared Susie Nelson, executive director of CFOV.
The Community Impact Fund is comprised of several unrestricted funds of the Community Foundation and other funds designed to support a field of interest or area of need as identified by the donor.
“The donors who made these funds possible felt strongly about leaving a legacy through philanthropy and we remain grateful for their generosity and foresight,” Nelson said.
