CFOV Announces Upcoming Grant Programs

The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) is pleased to announce several competitive grant programs will be open to receive applications starting November 7.

The Community Impact Fund, an opportunity made possible through various unrestricted, field of interest and donor-advised funds of the Foundation, includes a pre-application process.   Any 501(c)(3) organization, faith-based organization or government entity (schools, libraries, etc.) serving Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel or Tyler counties in West Virginia or Belmont or Jefferson counties in Ohio may apply.  While not exclusive, areas of priority include substance abuse prevention/treatment, next generation leadership/mentoring, youth recreation/activities and economic development.  The Foundation is also interested in projects that support mental health services, access to transportation, living wage employment and affordable childcare.  The pre-application deadline is December 2.

The Women’s Giving Circle will accept grant applications November 7 through December 14.  The Women’s Giving Circle seeks to fund organizations that increase life skills for women and girls, encourage the healthy development and personal authority of young girls or raise awareness of gender disparities in our communities.  Applicant organizations must hold 501(c)(3) status and serve Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel or Tyler counties in West Virginia or Belmont or Jefferson counties in Ohio.

The Belmont County Enrichment Fund is an affiliate fund of CFOV comprised of Belmont County landowners and industry stakeholders.  Grants are for the benefit of nonprofit organizations in or serving Belmont County.  Applications will be accepted November 7 through December 16.

All CFOV competitive grant programs are diverse in focus and process.  Interested organizations should visit www.cfov.org/grants to learn more about the structure of each opportunity and access application instructions.
