Belmont County Enrichment Fund Awards Grants
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) and its affiliate, GIVE Belmont County, recently announced grant awards totaling $50,204 to organizations supporting projects in Belmont County.
The affiliate’s grantmaking program, the Belmont County Enrichment Fund, includes a competitive grant opportunity for organizations in and serving Belmont County.
The group, once known as the Smith-Goshen Rice Enrichment Fund, was created in 2013 by a group of Belmont County landowners and the former Rice Energy who shared a desire to give back to the community. While the name of the group has changed, the interest in improving the quality of life in Belmont County remains the same. The affiliate appreciates the productive and active relationship with EQT Corporation and its Foundation, which acquired the former Rice Energy in 2017. This collaboration enriches the power of partnership and expands opportunities to make a difference in the community.
GIVE Belmont County has eclipsed $500,000 in grantmaking since inception and is a meaningful representation of the power of place-based philanthropy.
