Belmont County Enrichment Fund Awards Grants
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) and its affiliate, GIVE Belmont County, recently announced grant awards totaling $50,460 to organizations supporting projects in Belmont County.
The affiliate’s grantmaking program, the Belmont County Enrichment Fund, includes a competitive grant opportunity for organizations in and serving Belmont County.
The group, once known as the Smith-Goshen Rice Enrichment Fund, was created in 2013 by a group of Belmont County landowners and the former Rice Energy who shared a desire to give back to the community. While the name of the group has changed, the interest in improving the quality of life in Belmont County remains the same. An exciting milestone will soon be on the horizon as GIVE Belmont County is approaching $500,000 in grantmaking since inception.
“The projects being funded through our affiliate, GIVE Belmont County, will provide needed and meaningful support for a variety of organizations and communities. We are fortunate to support the advisory committee in their dedicated efforts to make a difference and provide new opportunities through philanthropy,” shared Susie Nelson, executive director of CFOV.
