Belmont County Enrichment Fund Awards Grant
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) and its affiliate, GIVE Belmont County, recently announced grant awards totaling $55,000 to organizations supporting projects in Belmont County.
The affiliate’s grantmaking program, the Belmont County Enrichment Fund, features an annual competitive grant opportunity for organizations in and serving Belmont County.
The group, once known as the Smith-Goshen Rice Enrichment Fund, was created in 2013 by a group of landowners and Rice Energy in Belmont County, Ohio to give back to the community. The name change came as a result of the committee’s desire to better communicate the intention and the desire to truly enrich the areas they call home.
“Our affiliate, GIVE Belmont County, continues to set a great example of community philanthropy through the grants awarded through the Belmont County Enrichment Fund. They remain committed to making a difference by supporting organizations that ultimately enhance the quality of life in the area,” shared Susie Nelson, executive director of CFOV.
