2021 Scholarship Applications Now Available
CFOV offers more than 70 scholarship opportunities
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) announces 2021 scholarship applications are now available. Applications are available online at cfov.org by clicking the Scholarships tab.
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley administers more than 70 scholarship funds. Last year, CFOV scholarship funds provided financial support to more than 200 students throughout the Ohio Valley. CFOV scholarship recipients attend schools in our region and beyond.
Community Foundation scholarships are as unique as the establishing donor. Scholarships offered through CFOV represent memorials for loved ones, an affinity for a particular major, attendance at a particular school/university, intended career path, financial need and even being a first-generation college student.
This year, four scholarship funds will be accepting applications for the first time. These new additions capture the philanthropic wishes of the establishing donors and represents an interest in supporting local students achieve educational goals.
While each application has specific instructions, the application period for most opportunities closes February 17. Application review will then take place and recipients will be informed of awards in April.
“Scholarships make a difference for local students as they prepare to take the next step in their educational journey. Through the generosity of donors, we can provide a diverse and meaningful assortment of scholarships to help finance an education,” shared Susie Nelson, executive director of CFOV.
Students seeking scholarships are encouraged to visit the CFOV website to explore opportunities. Questions may be directed to CFOV at 304-242-3144 or email@example.com.
