Chevron Community Fund Supports Marshall County

Over $30,000 was awarded to six organizations serving Marshall County communities, residents and visitors.  The Chevron Community Fund, a component fund of The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) is a strategic grant-making program funded by Chevron and administered by CFOV.  The announcement was made during an awards recognition program held at Grand Vue Park.

Chevron is committed to improving the social and economic well-being of the communities in which they operate.
Lee Ann Wainwright of Chevron stated they are committed to supporting worthwhile projects in Marshall County which align with their funding focus areas of STEM education, workforce development and basic human needs.  Chevron’s partnership with CFOV began in 2013.  Since then, over $380,000 has been awarded through 60 grants supporting projects in Marshall County.

The following grant recipients were announced:

American Red Cross Northwest
West Virginia
Support for Disaster Cycle Services in Marshall County $3,750.00
Cameron Volunteer Fire Department Support for purchase of Rescue Stabilization Kit $8,500.00
Near Earth Object Foundation Support for Imaging the Sky $2,794.00
The Children’s Museum of the Ohio Valley Support for Camp Cranium $6,757.00
Wheeling Health Right, Inc. Support for primary care for uninsured and underinsured patients from Marshall County $10,000.00
Youth Services System, Inc. Support for Mental Health Matters program at Moundsville Middle School $5,000.00
