We want to make sure participating organizations are informed and prepared to have the most successful Amazing Raise possible! The following meetings are designed to share everything you need to know!
All meetings will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held in the CFOV conference room, located on the first floor of 1310 Market Street in downtown Wheeling.

February 21, 2018 – New Participant Workshop
(MANDATORY for first-time participating organizations, but open to all)
March 9, 2018 – Social Media Workshop
(you’ll want a strong social media presence – plan to attend for helpful hints)

The AMAZING RAISE OHIO VALLEY is BACK!!

The countdown is on for The Ohio Valley’s largest online giving day, The Amazing Raise! Last year, more than $415,000 was raised for 111 Ohio Valley nonprofits. Let’s show everyone just how generous our community is when we support each other. How much will we raise in 2018?
WHAT IS THE AMAZING RAISE OHIO VALLEY?
Part of a national day of giving called Give Local America, the Amazing Raise Ohio Valley is a 24-hour community-wide online fundraising event designed to help area nonprofits raise much-needed dollars and bring awareness to pressing needs in our communities. Hosted by the CFOV, the one-day event provides area nonprofits with increased exposure to potential new donors and helps them launch beneficial relationships.

HOW DOES THE AMAZING RAISE OHIO VALLEY WORK?
For 24 hours on May 1, 2018, donors can make gifts to participating nonprofit organizations, schools, and religious institutions located in or providing services in our 8 county area – Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel & Tyler counties in West Virginia, and Belmont & Jefferson counties in Ohio. Gifts from the public will be boosted with prizes from corporate sponsors throughout the day. Nonprofits will vie for financial incentives and prizes which are tracked in real time on the online leaderboard.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Nonprofits – The Amazing Raise Ohio Valley is open to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization within the counties served by the CFOV. These include Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler and Wetzel Counties in West Virginia, and Belmont and Jefferson Counties in Ohio. Nonprofits must be registered to participate by April 10.
Donors – Any individual or business may donate to one or more of the participating nonprofits during the 24-hour period, via http://www.giveov.org/. Minimum donation is $10.00.
Sponsors – Bonus funds and prize challenges are great incentives and provide additional dollars for the participating nonprofits. The larger the pool, the more money for our nonprofit participants. For sponsorship inquiries, please contact Lisa Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org
